Pet of the Week

Share

Gloria holds the dubious distinction of having lived in the shelter longer than any of its 35 feline residents. This fact is baffling since she is attractive and well adjusted.

Gloria is a 5-year-old torbie — meaning a tortoiseshell cat with a tabby pattern — and weighs 10 pounds. Since her April arrival as a stray, volunteers have often remarked upon her good behavior around people and other cats. Inquisitive, playful and affectionate, Gloria is also healthy and spayed.

There is no logical reason for her long tenure at the shelter, other than the right adopter has yet to find her. She purrs contentedly when being stroked or held, showing she enjoys the attention. In a feline-friendly household, this female torbie would make an ideal pet.
