Adopt a local family during the holidays

Laguna Resource Center needs residents, churches and businesses to adopt local low-income families for the holiday season, according to a news release.

Most of the families selected work in the Laguna Beach hospitality industry earning minimum wage, and many have reduced hours due to it being the off season. A large number of the families also have children attending local schools.

Numerous families have asked to be adopted, but so far only 40 local families have been selected, the release said. The center has more families than donors. To sign up or request more information, contact Shannon Ashworth at shannon.ashworth@gmail.com or (714) 928-9626 before Nov 30.
