Trolley service to continue on weekends
Though the seven-day-a-week summer trolley service is coming to a close, the form of public transportation will still be available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Beginning Friday, the free city trolleys will traverse an off-season route that includes Coast Highway from The Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point to Cajon Street in north Laguna.
Hours of operation are 4 to 11 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
Special Labor Day service will be offered from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday only along Coast Highway. Main-line buses will not run that day.
Residents are encouraged to take the free trolley rather than attempt to park downtown.
